HCG HUCOG is a hormone that aids in the proper maturation of an egg in a woman's ovary and triggers the release of the egg during ovulation. It is utilized to induce ovulation and treat infertility in women, as well as to boost sperm production in men. Additionally, HCG HUCOG is administered to young boys whose testicles have not descended into the scrotum as expected, often due to a disorder of the pituitary gland. This hormone may also have other applications not mentioned in this medication guide.

HCG HUCOG comes in injectable forms of 2000 IU, 5000 IU, and 10000 IU strengths, with subcutaneous or intramuscular routes being the most appropriate for administration. The typically recommended dosage of Hucog for treating Cryptorchidism is 4000 IU, which should be given three times a week for a total of three weeks. For Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, the suggested dosage is 500–1000 IU of Hucog, administered three times weekly for three weeks. After this period, the same dose may be continued but reduced to two times a week for an additional three weeks.

HCG HUCOG is contraindicated for pregnant women and nursing mothers. It should also not be used if there is a history of hypersensitivity, precocious puberty, or prostate cancer, as these are opposing conditions for the use of Hucog. Furthermore, individuals with liver, kidney, heart issues, or asthma should avoid using HCG HUCOG.

While on HCG HUCOG, you may experience common side effects such as mood swings, tinnitus, allergic reactions, nausea, headaches, fluid retention, weight fluctuations, breast tenderness, and pain at the injection site. It is advised not to combine this medication with FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and Ganirelix.
